Many misconceptions surround the world of sex work, with judgment and stigma often clouding the truth. However, through my experiences, I have learned that sex work is, well work, with people from all walks of life participating. Let's acknowledge the stereotypes, test them out ,and get in touch with reality.
Conventional standards all scream that participates are always victims and predators. Sure these exist, but don't they exist everywhere? I have a bachelor's and master's degree. I don't use substances. I am not "managed." I had a wonderful healthy childhood and I have two beautiful children who are fully aware of my career. And I have CHOOSEN to be a courtesan. Take away the propaganda of politics and religion and you will find your neighbor, your family member, community volunteer, you will find we look more like you that not. And guess what? I am not an exception.
